While the nation and the world grieved, not once has Trump attended any of Floyd’s three home-goings. Since President Obama left us, we have had a dictator, an oppressor, a liar and a White Supremacist. To me this disqualifies. So to me the presidency is vacant until someone worthy of that honor comes.
Until we can understand violence is not normal and we continue to dismiss black-on-black murder we will lose many valued souls. In the nation’s capital, around where I live many people go to bed every night with the sound of gunshots ringing in their ears, afraid to let their children come out and play. Elderly people cannot go sit on their porch for fear of being killed like Mrs. Lucas Silence will not help this. Black People have two terrible problems. Them and Us and until we solve both we be merely surviving and not thriving.
How to travel: Put on your whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day..having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness and having the preparation of peace, and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Now go on your way, take normal precautions, but Go in faith and not fear, (Ephesians 6: 10-17 )
Trump has suggested that it might be alright for people with the virus to go to work, while the Centers for Disease Control and other public health agencies have cautioned people who believe they are infected to stay at home. While Trump downplays the virus and blames President Obama, the experts say the coronavirus seems more deadly than most strains of the flu, and while there are widely available treatments and vaccines for the flu, none are ready yet and it could take a year or long for a coronavirus vaccine.
Roadblocks were set up for us and we thought we would never see our parents again. We did make it, but many blacks and whites died fighting for that right to vote. So when I hear blacks say they are not going to vote, I hope they know that right was paid for in blood. To squander it or not use it gives that power to those who want to destroy us. And silence also speaks, one of the worst crimes of all when the good people do nothing.
Bernie is not even a Democrat, doesn’t have the history Biden does in supporting the causes of people of color and is talking about Medicare for all which instead of building on Obamacare would take some of the best provisions away . Whichever of the guys win it, I hope one picks Elizabeth Warren as v.p,. She is smart and tough enough to beat Trump, but sexism will prevent this. So what if Bernie does win the nomination, I will be calling on everyone to support him and just hold my breath and just pray that I was wrong about Bernie not being able to beat Trump.
While the medical communities and news media were broadcasting that there were 65 more cases of the virus in the United States, he was saying that there were only 15, adding that it would probably just disappear. And to make things worst, he called the virus a hoax and blamed the media for blowing up the situation when countries hit by the virus are closing schools, airports and rushing in health kits.
The Russians are going to help Trump steal the election again. We must vote so overwhelming that they can not steal them all. If voters are in wheelchairs roll them in, if they have no transportation go get them, if they say they are not going to vote bake them some cookies. This is an election that will seal the fate of our children and grand-children. Make the preachers stop hiding and help organize the vote. Vote like your life depends upon it because we do not need the Russians and the Trumpites ruining our nation any longer.
Florida State University will honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. during its 33rd Annual MLK Week from Monday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 22. The weeklong celebration will feature a range of events, including virtual offerings, inspired by the theme “The Black Women in Our Lives.”

He was a gentle giant, non-violent and as all of us honor his memory let us not disgrace his memory with arson and looting. This dishonors him. It also dishonors our past. And plays right into the hand of Trump.

Please know I am only sharing to let someone out there know that A. If you are currently sick or isolated, you are not alone, you will make it out the other side, I know this with my whole being, and B. For education purposes because I too thought I was invincible, that this will never affect me or my life)
Today is the 93rd birthday of Coretta Scott King, who died in January.
For 30 years she was my mentor and friend. She honored me by allowing me to write her memoirs: My Life, My Love, My Legacy. I pray that one day we will honor and celebrate her birthday. Here was a woman who spent 15 years of her life to help make her husband, one of the greatest martyrs of our generation a holiday and after his birthday served this country for more than three decades as an activist and political voice for good. Here are at least three aspects you should know about her.
I saw courage. I saw devotion. I saw Jesus working in new ways, shedding a new light. But more than that I found love
There is also plan B. Under martial law, the president can seize banks, seize control of the Internet and media to broadcast his emergency statements. He will have enormous power and since he believes whatever he does is in the public interest and the cowardly GOP will back him up, he can close down the polls and the elections to save the Republic because the Pandemic would make it too dangerous for large groups to go to the voting polls.
